Day 5's Love Dare was by far the most difficult one for me yet. The idea that you not only ask your spouse to name three things that they do not like about you, but you are not allowed to respond is foreign. Who wants to ask someone to point out what they don't like about them and then just sit there and listen?
Allowing your spouse the chance to say those things and then forcing yourself to really listen is eye opening though. It gives the other time to expand and explain what they really mean before you jump to conclusions and get defensive.
So when it is was all said and done, I was not surprised by the responses. Nor was I offended.
